My life has been a search for purpose and meaning - What is my WHY? This journey is always an interesting one, made harder by chasing money, pleasing society, navigating the doubts you believe about yourself, all the while striving to be authentic in your own way.

I fell in love with guiding early on in my career for a few reasons: I get to experience my beautiful country and I get to show up as the best version of myself. Following this vocation was not only a way to express my passions around nature, wildlife, people and landscapes, but also to journey from my head to my heart, explore my own soul and spirit, and get curious about who I wanted to be and how I wanted to show up in this lifetime.

I started out as a nature or safari guide after getting some direction from a sangoma.

What began as a privilege — exploring 15,000 hectares of the Greater Kruger as a field guide — slowly became a lifelong relationship with Africa’s wild spaces. From guiding adventure experiences and cultural journeys, to privately exploring the landscapes of Cape Town and later leading safaris through Kruger, Chobe, Victoria Falls and East Africa, each step deepened my connection to the natural world.

Along the way, my camera became a constant companion — not only to capture wildlife, birds and landscapes, but to preserve the feeling of being immersed in places still ruled by nature. Birds especially taught me to slow down, to listen, and to notice the quieter rhythms of the bush.

These experiences ignited something far greater than a passion for safari. They shaped a deep desire to share Africa in a way that inspires care, wonder and respect for the natural environment — helping others feel connected to the wild, and ultimately understand why it deserves to be protected.
